Responsibilities:
Specifically recruited to lift the network, with special emphasis on news, to the "next level", by introducing noteworthy enhancements to content
overhaul news production
implement best practices in all aspects of news content; raise standards throughout
enhance production
refine program formats
introduce real-time data for commodities markets, equities and econometrics
recruit new on-air, editorial and production talent
enhance skill sets of existing staff members

oversee move and development of new studio facilities on Music row,
commission design and fabrication of new sets with state-of-the-art capabilities while ensuring that the upgraded look preserves the brand identity of the network

develop space plan for editorial and production resources

develop new network brand identity, with special emphasis on graphics for news and news promotion
achieve cohesive/consistent imaging on air and in digital news content
contract graphic design firm specializing in real-time data, motion graphics and brand imaging
expand live production capabilities
acquire cost-effective technology and workflow for live hits from dedicated facilities in Chicago and Washington, D.C
select and deploy live remote production capabilities for ad-hoc field production
develop and maintain and social media presence
introduce and utilize tools to establish and maintain high engagement with digital constituents
participate in conversations relating to the RFD-TV audience and editorial mission
ensure proper depiction of same on TV

presided over complete redesign of network news, including development of new sety, selection of all major technologies, total redesign of all news and network graphics, deployment of advanced technologies for live remotes, hiring of new anchors
assumed total responsibility for all aspects of network relaunch - scenic, creative, technical, data, editorial, personnel, operations, facilities
negotiated deals with 5 flagship vendors, systems integrator and over 20 suppliers for all design and fabrication services, production and graphic systems, and data integration: By conservative estimates, achieved cost savings for the company over over $2 Million.
revisioned and refocused news programs; developed completely new styleframe for execution; coached senior executive producer and lead editorial staff on standards of production
completed project in its entirety in 6 months.
